Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Smartass Sportswear will ship anywhere in the U.S. and will soon be expanding to several International Countries. Smartass Sportswear uses two shipping methods, United Parcel Service (UPS) and United States Postal Service (USPS). Orders are typically shipped within 3-5 business days after your order is placed. Subject to change or extension due to inventory or production issues that are unusual, but not at all impossible. All of our items are print to order. We do not keep printed stock on hand. Shipping time depends on the carrier, of which we have no control, and can take from 1-5 business days after your order leaves Smartass Sportswear. Keep in mind Smartass Sportswear ships all items from our facility in Northern California, if you live in say, New York, your package may take the full 5 days for delivery. We do offer Next Day and Second Day Delivery Service from UPS at an additional cost. Please make sure you can receive packages at your Shipping Address from the carrier you choose at checkout.  UPS WILL NOT deliver to a USPS PO Box; you MUST select USPS as your shipping option if you want your package delivered to a USPS PO Box. We are unable to grant requests to send our packages via any other shipping service option other than those available to you during the checkout process, even if you want to use your own account.

RISK OF LOSS

All items purchased from Smartass Sportswear are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

 RETURN POLICY

If you receive a package from Smartass Sportswear and it arrives in a damaged or torn condition in which the contents inside are damaged, it is a claim to the carrier it was shipped through. You will need to contact them directly to file a claim.  Be assured, when a package leaves our hands and is transferred to the carrier it is in pristine condition with all items intact.
 

Exchanges or refunds are given on strictly un-used, un-worn, un-washed, un-damaged merchandise that arrives back to us in the condition that it was when we sent it to you.  If for some reason you are not pleased with the item once you've received it, we will take it back within 10 days of the date you received it and an exchange or a refund will be granted. The item(s) must be SHIPPED within 10 days from the date UPS or USPS claims the package was delivered (we have tracking numbers for every package that leaves our facilities and we can find out when the package was delivered to you). Travel time for the package to make it from you to us is not included in this 10 day count.

Although we have been known to be a little lenient with the 10 day time period in regards to exchanges if extenuating circumstances apply; however, we will not refund your money if the item(s) are not returned to us within the 10 days! We cannot and will not be held responsible for your lack of responsibility in returning the item(s).  Changing your mind about an item or an order you placed after you receive it is your prerogative and we are not responsible for shipping charges if you do so.

Exchanges are given within 10 days after your order arrives at our Return Facility.

This Policy does not apply to international orders. Any item being exchanged will be charged a flat rate of $6.95 for ground shipping back to you. If you are simply returning for a refund, we will credit your card when the items are received and you need not include any check for shipping.  If you are requesting an exchange please include a check for the return shipping made out to Smartass Sportswear.

All returns for a refund will incur a 20% restocking fee.

If you purchased by credit card, your card will be credited for the full applicable amount within 3-5 business days of receipt of the returned merchandise. 
If you return any items, shipping is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Here's our suggestion, if you order something and it doesn't fit like you thought it would or you just changed your mind and you wanted something else.  Give the item to a friend as a gift.  Contact us; let us know what happened and we'll give you a promotion code for a discount on your next purchase.  This way you make your friend happy and you save yourself the hassle of going to the Post Office to mail back the merchandise.  But if you must return it here's how.

Please include a note in the box/package along with your order #, name, address, telephone number, and email address. In addition, please explain what you would like to do (if exchanging, please tell us what size/color/style/shirt you want.) If you are returning multiple items please indicate clearly what you are doing with each item.  If you are exchanging and are out of the U.S., please include the credit card number you used to place your order with on your note and we will charge you the price of shipping based on the weight of the order once we resend your package.
